Two Dudes Junk Removal is a local, owner-operated junk removal company serving Maryland. Not a franchise, not a call center. A real crew, built from scratch, that shows up on time and gets the job done.
Our Journey
From a rusty trailer to two trucks. Here is how it happened.
February 2024
The First Job
Matt grabbed his dad’s old truck, bought a beat-up trailer, and landed the first paying customer. Two Dudes was open.
August 2024
Moved to College Park
Graduated from Howard Community College, got accepted into UMD, and moved to College Park. Kept running the business the whole time.
February 2025
First Dump Truck
After a year of reinvesting every dollar, we upgraded to a dump truck. More capacity, more jobs, and a real presence on the road.
April 2026
Second Dump Truck
Demand kept growing so we added a second truck. Bigger jobs, more of Maryland covered.
May 2026
Graduated from UMD
Matt graduated from the University of Maryland with a Finance degree. Same campus where our trucks now park for graduation photos.
My Story
It started with a truck and a Google search. And despite the name, it started with just one dude. No franchise, no investors, no safety net.
At 20 years old, Matt got his dad’s old truck and typed one question into Google: “How do I make money with a truck?” A few weeks later he backed a beat-up trailer into the driveway and Two Dudes Junk Removal was born.
Hard work was nothing new. Growing up mowing lawns in the summer heat taught him early that showing up and doing the job right matters more than almost anything. That carried him through what came next: selling shoes online during COVID, flipping sneakers, navigating crypto. Every experiment taught him something.
Every dollar the business made went back into it. Better equipment, more trucks, a real crew.
While the business grew, Matt kept going. He enrolled at the University of Maryland and in 2026 graduated with a Finance degree, walking the same campus where his trucks now park for graduation photos.
The degree was never about changing direction. It was about understanding what he was building: the numbers, the margins, the long game. Two Dudes is not a side hustle anymore. It is a real company, built from nothing, by someone who worked for every bit of it.
